Hobbies & Interests I am interested in off-road motorcycles, sports cars, and have owned a few nice Jaguar XKE and MG's in my time, but now drive a GM Holden as my business transport. I have extensively modified my 1993 MAZDA MIATA MX5 "OGG1E" to make a great car even better and have managed to produce a 200Kw (290hp) beast from the original 90 hp car! I enjoy riding my off-road Motorcycle, and my son Julian & I belong to a club called the "Waitemata" motorcycle club (The MAORI name Wai - te - mata refers to an ocean) Trail bikes and off-road 4 wheelers usually keep to established trails, so the "damage" to virgin bush is kept to just these minor trails and regular "off-road" areas. It's a great way to see New Zealand, and we have ridden in some quite remote areas over the years and seen a part of our country that is unavailable to most people.
