Only the USA & Gt Britain are assured, all other motorcycles imported from Japan may exhibit widely spaced numbers: New Zealand & Australia being the worst matched. I have never heard of any bike sold to the general public that has an exactly matched Frame/Engine number Sometimes, due to slow sales, the first year of sale may not coincide with the "model year", so you might find a "1978 CB750F" on e-bay
